This is my first attempt at a tractor cake smash~I think it turned out well. Blake dug right in and wasn't afraid to get messy. He was driving the tractor through the frosting and then trying to eat the tractor. Cake smashes are such fun sessions!

This little guy was so much fun! He zonked out so hard in the middle that I just went from set up to set up and he didn't mind at all. I love doing newborn photos and getting to snuggle these brand new little ones.

Every year I take photos of all the cousins at the lake and the group keeps growing every year! We are up to 8 kids so it is getting more challenging to get them all to cooperate but I think they turned out pretty well this year.

I did some pics of my nephew Neil a couple of months ago (wow-I am really behind on posting!) His grandma found us this very cute teacup to play with. Neil has the biggest blue eyes-just like his big brother.

I had so much fun with Morgan~I went up to the Martin County Fair and we did some photos with her prize winning steer. She is such a beautiful girl-it was fun to see her interacting with such a large animal.

I had such a fun day with Zack~although out of breath hiking up hills. It's a good thing he's much more athletic than I am-he was climbing trees and we even did some photos out on the lake wake boarding.

Katie was such a good sport for her pics~it ended up raining almost the whole day for her session and so we scheduled an extra day hoping for nicer weather. It turned out to be another cold, dreary, drizzly day. She was such a trooper and we ended up with some very nice shots despite the weather!

Mini Session Sundays

I've had so much fun doing the black and white mini sessions that I've decided to try something fun and new. The second Sunday of every month~starting in July will be a mini session day. A 30 minute session and a 20 page 5x5 photo book for $50. You will also still be getting the online gallery and 1/2 price CDs with these sessions. It should be a lot of fun and I hope that these minis go over well. The mini sessions are the perfect length for younger children or if you just want a few family photos and don't need a full session. This little guy did so well-especially considering he was almost 5 weeks old! He still liked to curl up and slept like a champ. It's always fun to see the love between the new little ones and their parents-it was very apparent how much this little one is loved!

Addison's First Birthday Cake Smash

Addison was over today to do her first birthday cake smash. I'm not sure where the time has gone-seems like just yesterday I saw her for baby photos. She has such big blue eyes-what is it with my lately and adorable little ones with giant blue eyes? She was so dainty with her cake, not wanting to get her hands too messy. Despite that we still got some very cute photos of her today!

I took time the other day to go out and take some black and white photos of my own kids. I love the look of black and white--there's just something about it. And then to top it off I actually ordered prints of their photos in a little spiral bound book. I am used to ordering all kinds of fun products for other people so it is a treat to have a nice little book for myself. The cameras they are "taking pictures" of me with are my dad's old cameras-one is even his service camera from when he was in WWII. I love the one of all three of them with their cameras. Someday I'll have to add a large print of that onto an order for my wall.

What a couple of little cuties! They are such a beautiful family and both of the kids have the biggest blue eyes! I have been visiting this family since little miss C was still in her mommy's tummy. I can't believe she is 1 1/2 already! We were originally going to do her one year portraits in April and then a April decided to dump snow all over us. Then we were set for a few weeks ago and miss C fell and got a big cut on her forehead. It worked out for the best though-we had a beautiful day on the family's new acreage where there are tons of great photo spots! Her brother has always been so much fun--even when he has that glint in his eye like he's up to something (I'm sure he usually is!). I am so blessed to be able to visit the same families over and over to capture their memories and watch their children grow.

Oh, my goodness. What can I say? Those big blue eyes and those little lips-Lilly is just a little angel (and her mom and sister aren't too bad either!) I could have snuggled her all day--but I had to put her down to take her picture. I love love love how they turned out!
